A summary is provided below.
Detailed information can be found on UiO's local pages for titan.
Titan is a compute cluster with both Sun/Opteron nodes. Currently, the Notur part of system has the following configuration:
- 304 dual-cpu quad-core SUN X2200 Opteron nodes (2432 cores), 2.2 Ghz, and 8 - 16 GB RAM and 250 - 1000 GB disk on each node
- three eight-cpu dual-core Sun X4600 AMD Opteron nodes with 128, 128 and 256 GB memory, respectively
- Infiniband interconnect
The three fat memory nodes currently have dual-core processors that will be replaced by quad-core processors later this year.
Titan is well-suited for most MPI applications with moderate memory requirements per processor core, and for shared-memory OpenMP applications using up to four processors.
