Scientists at Institute of Theoretical Astrophysics, University of Oslo, have used advanced computer simulations at the Notur facilities to show that a popular theory for heat distribution in the Sun's atmosphere cannot describe the observed temperature profile after all. The results were published in the prestigious journal Nature on June 16 .
