Prices for excellent research

On May 31, Eivind Smørgrav and Jo Smiseth were rewarded at NTNU for their outstanding work in computational physics. Both researchers investigated in their doctoral work the existence and properties of fluid (metallic) hydrogen. The work resulted in dissertations that are of high international standard. In addition, they published in the most prestigious scientific journals in their field and received considerable international attention.
