Notur Advanced User Support - 2006General information about the advanced user support activity can be found here. 1. Application evaluationAt the call for applications for advanced user support in June 2006, a total of 22 applications were received. The applications were evaluated by the Resource Allocation Committee that is appointed by the Research Council of Norway. This committee also decides on the allocation of CPU-hour grants to users and distributes the users over the Notur machines. The applications were evaluated using criteria announced on these pages. 2. ProjectsThe list of projects that were approved in whole or in part. 3. Project follow-up and reportinga. Once the applicant has received a positive evaluation and the people are known that will carry out the work, a project plan (or progress plan) must be submitted, provided this was not already included in the application. The project plan must contain a roadmap (time schedule) from the start to completion of the project. It must include a list of activities, each with
b. A progress report must be submitted at regular intervals by the project responsible. The frequency of reporting depends on the length of the project period. Reporting dates must be specified in the project plan. Progress must be reported at least once every four months. Deviations from the objectives of the project, original project plan, and expected results must be reported as well as any corrective action taken. Each progress report must be approved by the project responsible and the person(s) carrying out the work before it is submitted. c. A final report must be submitted once the project is finished. All final reports will be made available to the Resource Allocation Committee, the UNINETT Sigma Board, and the eVITA Programme Board. The reports will also be published on the Notur web pages. Final reports may be referenced during the evaluation of future applications for advanced support. |
